My style
My style is relaxed, fun and candid.
My style is spontaneous, artistic and unforgettable.
I love details. I love the little things!

I offer a non traditional, relaxed, lifestyle portrait experience. If you want Photographs that display who your child is today in everyday life, as him or herself, I may be the photographer for you!
I specialize in natural light, on location, Infant and Child Photography.
Your photo session starts with a phone or email consultation to determine what kind of portraits you are interested in. I want to learn about your family's style, and what kind of session and setting will work best for you.

Where will my session take place?
You choose the location. I strongly encourage the use of your home, as this is where your child is most comfortable. Familiar surroundings are not only comforting to your child, but also results in more memorable and forever cherished portraits. You need not worry the 'size' of your home, how clean your home is, I have been known to rearrange furniture, open blinds/window treatments as needed to allow for the perfect lighting and optimum results!

How long is a session?
Sessions can last anywhere from an hour to two hours. . However, I will provide the amount of time needed until satisfactory results are obtained. This is a relaxed and 'In the Moment' experience. Your child is not prompted or posed, and is given little direction- if any, through the session.
I will work on your time, so if you need to get the shots quickly, no problem. If the kids aren't in the mood for photos, it can take a little longer. I will work with you to create the perfect mood and setting. If your child is sick, or it just happens to be a bad day for him/her, rescheduling might be the best option.

The times are scheduled around the best time for your child first, and then around the best time for natural lighting. If you want the comfort of your home, mid morning - 10 a.m. to mid afternoon 2 p.m. work best.
If you want an outdoor setting, early morning about 8 am, and late afternoons from about 4p.m. to 7 p.m. (depending on the time of year) is best.

Clothing
Simple, Simple, Simple.
That is definitely my motto. To make sure that you get timeless portraits, it's important to keep the clothing choices clean looking and simple.

For newborns and babies, bare skin is classic.

White shirts/dresses and denim photograph really well, as do bold colored stripes/spots, beanies, scarf's, Tutu's, bold colored shirts, funky boots and shoes, and bare feet!
Include anything that your Child just never wants to be without, a favorite hat, teddy bear etc anything that represents them at this point in time.

Logos and characters can date your photos.
If your child doesn't normally wear the outfit, don't try it for the first time in your session.

For family portraits, clothes in the same color range are best. Jeans and khakis always photograph well, and bare feet also will uniform the look. Please keep in mind that these are just suggestions though, and you are always free to wear whatever you like. Sometimes there is that special outfit that you want to remember.
